Shanna Willner, LPCC, SEP, PMP
(Short for Shoshanna Willner)
Shanna Willner (pronounced like shawna) specializes in supporting clients with complex trauma, anxiety, chronic pain, medical trauma, injury, abuse, and attachment disruptions. Her work also extends to personality disorders and a wide range of biopsychological concerns, including insomnia, migraines, autoimmune conditions, and fibromyalgia. In addition, she helps individuals navigate life transitions, personal transformation, and meaningful habit change.
Shanna holds a Master’s in Counseling from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX, and a B.A. in Psychology from Barnard College at Columbia University. She is EMDR-trained (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a powerful therapeutic method that helps clients reprocess traumatic memories and reduce emotional distress. She is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), specializing in body-based approaches that release stored trauma and restore balance.
Beyond psychotherapy, she is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Breathwork Practitioner, and Meditation Teacher. She is currently completing a year-long certification in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy, expanding the tools she brings to clients seeking deep healing. Shanna is committed to ongoing learning and practices what she teaches, bringing both professional expertise and lived experience into her work.
She sees clients in-person in Thousand Oaks, CA, and online via telehealth for clients in California and Texas. Sessions are conducted in English.

Shanna Willner, MA, LPCC, PMP – licensed in CA and Texas. I am a Mental Health provider with a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling. In my work, I integrate psychotherapy, biopsychology, behavioral change, and holistic practice to support my clients in living a better life.
I bring compassion, curiosity, and acceptance to my work, and combine creativity with information and evidence-based tools. I am committed to helping clients clear patterns that have been obstacles to life satisfaction and achieve self-defined progress.
